Previously, Keyla worked at The Future Project a national nonprofit whose mission is to support people—starting with young people—in discovering and activating their power to make a change. The organization aims to inspires, equips, and connect people to discover their power and use it to build a better future.

As a current Dare to Run Community Lead, Keyla Marte is preparing to run for office to support marginalized communities and make constructive reform in public policy. In addition, she is a 2019 Young People For and 4.O Essentials Fellow.
